This Bulletin was last issued on Friday, 10 June 2011, 21:04:31, EST.

Australian health authorities have detected a small number of cases of Legionnaires’ disease (Legionella pneumophila) amongst travellers recently returned from the Kuta region of Bali.

Indonesian health authorities have been notified of the recently diagnosed cases and the Environmental Health Department is responding.

Travellers in Bali, or who have recently returned, who experience ‘flu-like’ symptoms such as fever and cough should consult their GPs or hospital emergency departments, and advise them of their recent travel.
