South Australian State General Election – 20 March 2010

Australians visiting or residing overseas are advised that there will be a State General Election for South Australia on Saturday 20 March 2010.

Information about the election can be found on the Electoral Commission of South Australia website at www.ecsa.sa.gov.au. Australians overseas who wish to apply for a postal vote can download a postal vote application form from this website. If electors do not have internet access, they may obtain copies of these forms at any Australian embassy, high commission, consulate-general or consulate overseas.

Postal vote application forms must be received by the Electoral Commission of South Australia no later than 5.00pm (SA time) on Thursday 18 March 2010. Completed forms should be faxed to the Electoral Commission (Fax: +61 8 8240 7657) or sent by mail to: Electoral Commission of South Australia, GPO Box 666, Adelaide SA 5001. Signed completed forms may also be scanned and emailed to ECSAComments@sa.gov.au. Ballot papers will then be posted to the elector for completion. Completed ballot papers must then be mailed, postmarked prior to 6:00pm on election day, and received at the Electoral Commission by 6.00pm on Saturday 27 March 2010.
